Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #41

Here is my VERY FIRST sketch challenge card! Let me tell you what an awesome idea it is to play around with a sketch, as I've used a layout that I might not have thought of, and LIKE it! This sketch is from the very talented Karen Giron. I think I may be just a hair too late to participate in the actual challenge, but that doesn't matter :) The point is that I USED MY STAMPS, lol.

And here is my card. I have a few birthdays coming up, so used a girly, birthday theme. I've taken the colours from Candy Lane DSP, and the stamp sets used are Party Hearty and Occasional Greetings. I am happy with the result, but I confess to fiddling with it until way past my bedtime, wanting of course to make a dazzling challenge debut! I may have over-fiddled, but I did restrain myself from adding brads or paper piercing! I have used the emboss resist technique for the greeting, embossing the greeting and then inking over the VV c/stock in RRRed with a brayer.

I hope you like it :)
